Cobie has been involved with Intellifin Tax since 2008 and is the founder of the tax arm of Intellifin. Cobie has extensive experience in tax which she mainly gained whilst holding senior positions at SARS. Cobie’s positions included tax audit manager and technical advisor to the SARS Corporate Tax Centre where she gained vast experience in structured finance and intellectual property tax structures.
Cobie headed up the Tax Technical division at the SARS Large Business Centre (LBC) which functioned as an in-house tax advisory/consulting service to LBC tax auditors. Her duties also included serving on SARS tax committees, (ie Objections- and Penalty Committees, Tax Appeals Committee and Legislation Committee). Since she joined Intellifin Tax her exposure to large and complex tax cases, as well as an intimate understanding of the tax administration process, is applied to the benefit of Intellifin’s clients. Cobie is a registered tax practitioner and has more than 10 years experience in tax.
Cobie enjoys spending time with her family and is a dedicated mother of a very active little girl. She spends her remaining free time pursuing her love for sport, whether as enthusiastic participant in activities such as golf and scuba diving, or as an enthusiastic supporter.
